It is easy to assume that everyone else is fine and happy... but often they're not, so saying 'I'm in need of company" should be as easy as saying "I need a cup of tea".

Nearly 500 people joined our webinars this week as part of our latest training release – Social Isolation and Loneliness Training.

We’ve been discussing social isolation, loneliness and the importance of connection as well as sharing more about our newest course.

This latest training course replaces the Social Isolation (Step Up) Training which was introduced in June 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic and has been taken over 175,000 times.

The content has been informed by feedback from our previous course, existing research and real experiences.

Through the training we aim to:

  • Raise awareness of social isolation and loneliness
  • Share more about signs that someone may be struggling
  • Share tips and ideas for how to support someone
  • Highlight the importance of social connectivity
  • Help build stronger, more supportive communities.
