I'm George's Mate

We want to give young people the knowledge and skills to support their mental health and prevent suicide. We support and fund mental health and suicide awareness training for young people. We aim to develop these opportunities throughout the UK.

In addition to our work in education, we aim to promote discussion of mental health.  We aim to influence law makers and business leaders to introduce policies and practices which will support mental health.  We also run a wide-ranging programme of public engagement to end the stigma associated with mental health problems.

We assist and fund the provision of accredited mental health and suicide awareness courses in secondary schools and FE colleges. Our aim is to develop these opportunities nationwide.

We also provide information on mental health and suicide awareness. This is done via our website and social media connections. We also run public events and fundraisers which allow us to connect with the general public.

We believe that we can develop our work by learning from the experience of allied groups.  All aspects of suicide prevention benefit from collaboration.

Our social media hashtag is:  #getyoungpeopletalking
We pledge to give young people the knowledge and skills to support their mental health and prevent suicide.
