Why this training is important

Sadly, suicide is a leading cause of early death for autistic people. Research shows that more than 6 in 10 autistic people have considered suicide.

Suicide risk for autistic people has been recognised nationally in the UK and is included in the National Suicide Prevention Strategy published in September 2023.

NHS Greater Manchester has funded and supported the development of this training course to help raise awareness of suicide risk for autistic people and share ways that you can support an autistic person struggling with suicidal thoughts.

Help spread the word
